Add a Custom Email Domain
Steps to configure your custom email domain
Follow these steps to connect your own custom email domain for sending client emails:
- Navigate to Settings
- Select General
- Click on the Branding tab
- Select Custom email domain
- Enter the email address you want to send emails from (e.g., accounting@yourbusiness.com, billing@yourbusiness.com, payments@yourbusiness.com)
- Edit the display name if you'd like
- Click Save
- Click Validate
- Configure your CNAME records and optionally add DMARC authentication in your DNS (e.g., GoDaddy)
Tip: Adding DMARC is optional, but highly recommended. It improves email deliverability so emails land in inboxes instead of spam.
- Once complete, click Validate to ensure setup was successful
- If you added CNAME records but skipped DMARC, you will receive a warning. Click Ok
- If you did not previously add DMARC, click the link to add it now
