Portal Users vs Bill-To Contacts

In FlexPoint, there are two key user types: Portal Users and Bill-To Contacts. Each serves a unique purpose, and it’s important to understand the distinction.
Portal User
- Access: Can log in to the client portal
- Actions: View invoices, make payments, manage payment methods
- Team Management: Can add or remove other portal users
- Notifications: Does not receive billing email notifications by default
Who should be a Portal User? Individuals needing direct access to invoices and the ability to make payments.
Bill-To Contact
- Access: Cannot log in to the portal
- Actions: Receives email notifications such as invoices, reminders, or receipts
- Notifications: Manages finances and payment tracking via emails
Who should be a Bill-To Contact? Typically the person or team responsible for managing finances, invoices, and payments within an organization.
