Roles and Permissions
Manage user access and capabilities in the FlexPoint admin portal.
FlexPoint uses role-based permissions to define what internal users can access and manage in the admin portal, allowing you to assign each user a role based on their responsibilities. The available roles and their permissions are outlined below.
Available User Roles
Admin
Admin users can perform every available action in the merchant portal.
Standard User
Designed for billing teams who need full platform access outside of critical settings.
- View all pages
- Import & refresh invoices
- Modify invoices, customers, and portal users
- Collect payments on behalf of customers
- Add or delete payment methods
- Modify AutoPay rules
- Cannot impersonate client portal
- Cannot modify payment settings
View Only
Best suited for users who only need reporting and visibility into platform activity.
- View all pages
- Cannot import invoices
- Cannot modify settings
- Cannot edit invoices, customers, or users
- Cannot collect payments
- Cannot manage payment methods

By default, all existing users are set to the Admin role. To change this:
- Navigate to Settings > General > Users and select the user you want to modify.
- Select the desired role, then save.
