In the case you're on the Customer Surcharge payment processing plan, you can turn on and off credit card surcharge per customer. This allows you to control the surcharge and enable for only a subset of your customers.
How it Works
To leverage this functionality, you must be on the Customer Surcharge payment processing plan. The default behavior is that this feature is disabled, meaning your clients will be responsible for credit card processing fees.
In the below example, the feature is turned on, meaning that your business would be responsible for credit card processing fees when this specific customer makes a payment.
Use Case
Imagine you have a VIP client who you want to provide special treatment. However, you've selected the Customer Surcharge payment processing plan, which passes the fees to your clients (3.5%).
To show appreciation for their loyalty or significant contribution to your business, you've decided that you would like to cover the credit card processing fees. This feature allows you to easily exempt such clients.
