Historical Invoice Import
How to import existing invoices from your accounting system into FlexPoint
To run a historical invoice import, you'll first need to create an invoice import rule. This determines which invoices will automatically pull from your accounting platform into FlexPoint.
Watch this quick video tutorial:
Go to Settings > Integrations in your FlexPoint account.
Once you're on your Accounting Integration screen, select Invoice Import Rules and then click Add Rule.
A rule must be in place before running a historical invoice import. The rule defines which invoices will automatically pull from your accounting solution into FlexPoint.
The most common rule is "Invoice Total Greater Than $0". If you also want to include $0 invoices, use "Invoice Total Greater Than or Equal to $0".
After saving your invoice import rule, click the Import Invoices button. This will import both customers and invoices into FlexPoint.
You can choose to import both Paid and Unpaid invoices. If your customers need to view invoices they previously paid, we recommend keeping both boxes checked.
Select a date range for your import. The date range is based on the invoice due date. When ready, click Import.
Note: By default, automated Global Email Notifications are disabled. Your customers will not be notified about imported invoices until you enable Global Email Notifications.

Depending on the amount of data being imported, it may take several minutes for invoices and client information to appear.
For QuickBooks Desktop users, the first historical invoice import may take a couple of hours to complete.
Moving forward, FlexPoint will automatically import invoices that meet your invoice import rule criteria.
