Frequently Asked Questions
What is the QuickBooks Web Connector? Do I need to use it?▶
The QuickBooks Web Connector is a tool that connects QuickBooks Desktop with third-party applications (like FlexPoint). It is required for automated data syncing between the two systems.
Where do I download the Web Connector and the FlexPoint integration file?▶
Since QuickBooks Desktop runs locally on a specific computer, the Web Connector and FlexPoint integration file must be downloaded and installed on that same machine.
Does the Web Connector need to run in order for data to sync?▶
Yes. If the Web Connector is not running, data will not sync between QuickBooks Desktop and FlexPoint.
QuickBooks Desktop, the Web Connector, and FlexPoint integration file are not on my computer. Can I still use FlexPoint?▶
Yes. However, you will not be able to administer or control the data sync between FlexPoint and QuickBooks Desktop without access to the machine running the Web Connector.
When does the Web Connector run?▶
The Web Connector runs based on the sync cadence you configured when installing the FlexPoint QWC file.
Are there any limitations with the QuickBooks Desktop integration?▶
- QuickBooks Desktop invoice PDFs cannot be pulled into FlexPoint.
